A study by National Research Centre on Camel (NRCC) in Bikaner found that a drop of camel’s tears can neutralise 26 snake venoms. NRCC scientists immunised camels with saw-scaled viper venom and discovered that antibodies in their tears and blood could effectively counter the venom’s lethal impact. Pharmaceutical companies are actively seeking camel-derived antibodies, Moneycontrol reported.
