BMC received 10,778 complaints related to stray dogs between January and August 2025, News18 reported citing sources. The data shows a surge in such complaints in the city. Meanwhile, Supreme Court ordered authorities in Delhi NCR to pick up all stray dogs within eight weeks. The court asked them to put the dogs in shelters and not release them again.
