At least 12,431 men and 77,980 ineligible women have been wrongly disbursed around ₹24.24 crore and ₹140.28 crore under Maharashtra's flagship Mukhyamantri-Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Indian Express reported, citing data accessed through an RTI. Under the scheme ₹1,500/month is disbursed to eligible women. These men and women have been removed from the beneficiary list, the women's department said.
