Scientists from the US National Science Foundation's Cosmology Large Angular Scale Surveyor (CLASS) project have captured a 13-billion-year-old microwave signal. They detected ultra-faint light from the Big Bang using ground-based telescopes. It is the first time that ground-based observations have captured signals from the Cosmic Dawn.
