Thirteen people were killed in an accidental explosion during the disposal of expired military ammunition in Indonesia's West Java on Monday. Nine of the victims were civilians, while four were military personnel. A similar accident involving military ammunition occurred in the country in March 2024, when a massive fire broke out at a military depot, causing a series of explosions.
