Over 14,000 men fraudulently received ₹21.44 crore under Maharashtra’s Ladki Bahin scheme, a report said. These beneficiaries enrolled using false or misrepresented identities, it added. Launched in August 2024, scheme provides ₹1,500 per month to eligible women aged 21-65 from low-income families. It came under scrutiny after irregularities were found in the allocation of funds, the report added.
