Indian Railways is set for a major upgrade as Central Railway replaces ICF (Integral Coach Factory) coaches with modern LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches on 16 trains. LHB coaches offer higher safety, smoother rides, and speeds up to 200 kmph, compared to 140 kmph for older ICF models. The move supports Railways' Mission 2030 to phase out all ICF coaches and modernise long-distance travel.
