A 16-year-old boy from Xiamen in China's Fujian province underwent a six-month body lengthening therapy to increase his height by 1.4 centimetres. He received the therapy between February and August at a cost of 16,700 yuan (over ₹2 lakh). His father said his height rose from 165 cm to 166.4 cm, but returned to 165 cm within 2 weeks.
