India's 16-year-old Grandmaster Gukesh D created history by becoming the youngest chess player to beat Magnus Carlsen after he became the world champion. Gukesh achieved the feat by defeating the world number one in the ninth round of Aimchess Rapid. Earlier in the tournament, India's 19-year-old Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi had defeated Carlsen.
