A 17-year-old boy in Maharashtra's Nashik district has built a robot from scrap to help farmers. The boy, Aditya Pingale, designed 'KrushiBot' to help farmers tackle physical challenges of farming like spraying pesticides. KrushiBot can carry a 16-litre tank, runs on a 12V rechargeable battery, and is controlled using a NodeMCU, a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller that connects to mobile phone.
