As many as 177 security personnel died by suicide in Chhattisgarh from 2019 to June 15, 2025, Deputy CM Vijay Sharma informed the state assembly. Of these, 26 personnel belonged to the CRPF, five to the BSF, and three to the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Family, personal, and health issues were some of the reasons for these suicides.
