At least 19 people have been killed and 12,000 have been affected due to heavy rains, landslides and flash floods across the northeastern states over the past three days. Many roads have washed away, houses destroyed in Mizoram, Assam, Manipur, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh due to rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of more rains in coming days.
