Bulgaria, which became a part of European Union in 2007, will replace the Lev and adopt the Euro as currency after 19 years from January 1, 2026. In adopting the legal texts necessary for the move, EU finance ministers officially set the euro at 1.95583 Bulgarian lev. With this, Bulgaria has become the 21st member to adopt Euro.
