Around 2,000 shops in Borivali were shut for three hours on Wednesday to protest against the BMC, traffic police, and Borivali police for barricading 12 pedestrian crossings outside Borivali railway station. "These barricades must be removed...How will customers reach us?" asked Lalit Jain, chairman of Borivali Businessmen Association. Shops were shut in protest for the first time in 40 years.
