Over 2,80,000 people were evacuated in Shanghai due to the landfall of the storm 'Co-May'. The landfall in Zhejiang province was followed by tsunami warnings triggered by an 8.8-magnitude earthquake in Russia. While the winds of Co-May were weaker, authorities cancelled flights and suspended ferry services. Furthermore, a rainfall of up to 100 mm is expected within six hours.
