Two men named Ajay Mittal and Vijay Agarwal have repaired over 2,200 leaking roadside taps, saving millions of litres of clean water in Kolkata. Their initiative began when Vijay saw water gushing from a leaking tap while dropping his son off at school. He called Ajay, and using their savings, they hired a plumber to start fixing the taps voluntarily.
