Two new species of a lanternshark and a porcelain crab have been discovered in Australia's deep seas. The lanternshark, E westraliensis, found 610 metres in Gascoyne Marine Park, glows with belly photophores and has sharp-spined dorsal fins. The porcelain crab, found near Ningaloo coast, is opalescent yellow-white, lives among sea pens, and feeds on plankton with modified mouthparts not claws.
