Two senior officials were suspended a week after two Mumbai Monorail trains broke down on the tracks during heavy rains in the city. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which suspended the officials, also constituted a high-power inquiry committee to examine the incidents and recommend corrective measures. Earlier, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis had ordered a probe.
