Police have arrested two accused, Kausar Sheikh and Mursalim Sheikh, for their role in the violence during anti-Waqf protests in Murshidabad in April. Both accused were produced in the Jangipur sub-divisional court on Tuesday, where police sought their custody for further questioning. Notably, protests had turned violent after clashes broke out between police and the protesters.
