Over 20,000 US federal workers have signed up for an offer to quit their jobs in exchange for a deferred resignation deal. Under the deal US President Donald Trump offered, the government would continue to pay their salaries through the end of September 2025. Their numbers are increasing daily as the deadline to accept the offer ends on February 6.
