A 22-year-old woman died after she suffered an anaphylactic shock, that is a severe allergic reaction, to a contrast agent used during a CT scan at a hospital in Brazil's Rio do Sul. Leticia Paul was reportedly undergoing a routine checkup when the incident occurred. Contrast dyes used for CT scans usually contain iodine, reports said.
