Heavy rainfall following the onset of monsoon has triggered 23 flash floods, 19 cloudbursts, and 16 landslides across Himachal Pradesh, causing widespread damage. As per government data, 78 people have died since monsoon began on June 20. The State Disaster Management Authority confirmed that out of this, 50 deaths were due to rain-related disasters, while 28 were from road accidents.
