A 23-year-old cricketer named Dirdh Patel, who was a student at the University of Huddersfield, was among those who lost their lives when the London-bound Air India plane crashed in Ahmedabad. The young budding cricketer played for Leeds Modernians Cricket Club after completing MSc in artificial intelligence. Dirdh was the overseas player for Leeds Modernians Cricket Club in 2024.
