A 24-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh’s Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district has been accused of defrauding at least 12 men through matrimonial scam in two years and extorting substantial sums of money from them. After marrying them, she allegedly demanded large sums of money, gold or property, citing family or personal emergencies, before disappearing. Police are investigating the matter.
