A 24-year-old IT professional Zeel Thakkar collapsed on stage while participating in WordCamp Surat 2025 held at Shree Swami Atmanand Saraswati Institute of Technology in Gujarat's Surat. Those present at the spot rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Preliminary findings indicate that Zeel suffered a heart attack.
