The Jammu and Kashmir government has banned 25 books on account of being "disguised as historical or political commentary," but radicalising the youth and leading them towards violence and terrorism by promoting a culture of victimhood and terrorist heroism. These books include Arundhati Roy's 'Azadi', AG Noorani's 'The Kashmir Dispute 1947-2012', and Sumantra Bose's 'Kashmir at the Crossroads', among others.
