Maharashtra government has announced that nearly 26 lakh women have been found ineligible under Ladki Bahin scheme. State minister Aditi Tatkare said data of these beneficiaries, from all districts of Maharashtra, has been sent for physical verification, and appropriate action will be taken. The scheme provides ₹1,500 assistance to women aged 21-65 with annual family income under ₹2.5 lakh.
