Twenty-seven-year-old Lance Naik Pritpal Singh, who made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Akhal while fighting terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir, got married five months ago. "He has gone while trying to earn better life for his family," Singh's brother said. "We've seen too much poverty...and our father is a daily-wager. He joined Army to improve our financial conditions," he added.
