Twenty-eight Naxalites, including 22 carrying a collective reward of ₹89 lakh, surrendered in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district on Tuesday. Police said the cadres - 19 of them women - were motivated by the state's Niyad Nellanar scheme and the Bastar police's Poona Margham rehabilitation initiative. Officials said 512 Naxalites have surrendered in the Bastar region in the last 50 days.
