At least 28 people have died across different Northeastern states in the past two days due to floods and landslides caused by heavy rains. In Assam, Guwahati was brought to its knees by urban flooding, while in Manipur, the banks of the Imphal River were breached. Authorities have rescued hundreds of people and they have been brought to relief camps.
