A 29-year-old Thane woman with advanced rectal cancer received a new lease of life after doctors at KIMS Hospitals performed a rare and complex posterior exenteration with en bloc sacrectomy. Led by Dr. Saneya Pandrowala, the surgery successfully removed all cancerous tissue. The patient recovered well and has been discharged to continue maintenance therapy.
