Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh said the recent deaths at a Jalandhar hospital were a result of negligence by superintendent, senior medical officer (SMO) and the doctor on duty. He said Medical Superintendent Dr Raj Kumar, SMO Dr Surjit Singh and Consultant Anaesthetist Dr Sunakshi were being placed under suspension and House Surgeon Dr Shivinder Singh had been dismissed.
