More than three out of five liver cancer cases worldwide can be prevented by addressing risks like hepatitis, alcohol use, and fatty liver disease, according to The Lancet Commission. The report also warns of a 35% rise in liver cancer caused by excess fat and metabolic issues. Liver cancer currently causes over 700,000 deaths globally each year.
