A 30-year-old truck helper, Amar Anand Pagare alias Bala, died after an iron rod fell from the seventh floor of an under-construction building in Mumbai’s Andheri (East) on Wednesday. "The site was not following the basic safety norms; there was no net, nor a warning signboard. Pagare lost his life because basic safety norms were compromised," said a police officer of the MIDC police station.
