Over 300-years old Hatkhola Dutta family's Durga Puja in North Kolkata's Nimtala Ghat Road is associated with Freedom fighter 'Netaji' Subhash Chandra Bose. Netaji’s mother Prabhavati Devi, who was the daughter of this family, used to attend Durga puja at this house. Even today, patriotic songs are sung by the family's men after immersion of Durga idol at Subhash's maternal home.
