To enhance wildlife diversity in Barda Wildlife Sanctuary, the Gujarat Forest Department, in collaboration with a wildlife rescue and conservation initiative introduced 33 spotted deer (Axis axis), commonly known as 'chital', into designated protected area. The deer were transported from Jamnagar in specially designed ambulances and released in the sanctuary under forest department's supervision.
