A new study has revealed that global tech giants like Apple, Nvidia, and Zoho are prioritising skills over degrees, with 34% of their Indian employees coming from Tier-3 colleges. The study, conducted by Blind, showed that college pedigree now holds little weight in hiring decisions, signalling a major shift from traditional IIT/IIM dominance toward a skill-first hiring culture.
