Assam Police detained 36 Bangladeshi nationals who had entered India illegally and later pushed them back across the border in Sribhumi and South Salmara. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said infiltrators alter demographics and infringe on indigenous rights, stressing that Assam will continue strict action against illegal migration.
