Four districts of Jharkhand, Khunti, Simdega, Gumla and Chatra, will get rail connectivity for the first time since independence. According to Railways Ministry, the districts will be connected by rail and will come under Ranchi division of Railways. The preliminary survey report for this railway project has been completed and sent to Railway Board for a detailed project report (DPR).
