At least 40 people were detained and later released on Tuesday for protesting against the Supreme Court's order directing the blanket removal of dogs from the streets in Delhi-NCR. They gathered near Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place and allegedly began marching towards Parliament. The police said that gathering near Parliament is not allowed ahead of Independence Day.
