At least 40 students at Rajsunakhala Government High School in Odisha were beaten and forced to stand outside for two hours for not wearing shoes. After the 7 am prayer, they were reportedly stopped from taking exams and later sent outside the gate. District Education Officer Chittaranjan Pandey called it a "tragic incident", adding that the complaint will be investigated.
