Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams returned to tennis after a 16-month break. The 45-year-old won her first-round women's doubles match at the DC Open in Washington with 23-year-old Hailey Baptiste. The duo defeated Canada's Eugenie Bouchard and the USA’s Clervie Ngounoue. Williams' comeback match was attended by about 3,000 spectators, including NBA star Kevin Durant.
