An earthquake of 5.0 magnitude struck Turkey's largest city Istanbul on Thursday, according to Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). People rushed out to the streets after tremors rattled buildings. According to AFAD, the tremor centered in the Marmara Sea, southwest of Istanbul, along a faultline long seen as a risk for the city of 16 million people.
