Manipal Hospital in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with South Asian Liver Institute, successfully performed a liver transplant on a 5-month-old baby, adding to 10 pediatric transplants in two years with over 90% success. Led by Prof Tom Cherian, the team adapted the mother's liver for the infant, showcasing advanced expertise in complex pediatric liver care.
