According to a NITI Aayog report, 133 aircraft from Indian carriers are grounded, mainly due to engine issues and maintenance delays. IndiGo and Go Airlines are the worst affected. Despite these setbacks, India aims to grow its domestic MRO industry to $4 billion by 2031 and become a global hub for aircraft maintenance and repair.
