Mumbai has turned 500 tonnes of plastic waste into benches, school desks, dustbins, and other public facilities through a citizen-driven program by L&T and Project Mumbai. More than four lakh volunteers collected plastic from 45 city locations, including housing societies, schools, colleges, and offices. The project aimed to beautify public spaces and raise awareness on reducing plastic pollution.
