The BKC police have booked a 52-year-old PhD student, Rajesh Balkhande, from Mumbai University for allegedly assaulting a security guard during Union Minister Kiren Rijiju's campus visit on September 15. Balkhande reportedly blocked the minister's convoy, kicked a guard, and threatened officers. He has been charged under Sections 132 and 121(1) for assault and obstruction.
