At least 54 people were killed and 227 were injured in Pakistan due to heavy monsoon rains in the last 24 hours, Pakistan's disaster agency said on Thursday. The agency stated that around 180 people have died and about 500 have been injured since the start of the monsoon on June 26. Most deaths were reported from Pakistan's Punjab province.
