Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved deployment of 581 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for duty in J&K for Amarnath Yatra. The MHA said all 581 companies will remain deployed until conclusion of the Yatra, after which they will be withdrawn immediately. The action comes after last month's Pahalgam terror attack which claimed lives of 26 civilians.
