A 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit Bay of Bengal in early hours of Tuesday, according to National Center for Seismology. The epicentre of the earthquake was located at a latitude of 6.82 degrees north and a longitude of 93.37 degrees east. Its depth was recorded at 10 kilometres. There were no reports of any casualties and no threat of a tsunami.
